That's easy. I played the original "Civilization" on my 386. I spent days upon days on that game. I sucked real bad cuz I was only 10 at the time! StarCraft comes in a distant second.

Anything on the Intellivision platform. j/k

Seriously, probably Super Mario Bros. 2 for NES. The game was a piece of cake but I found myself playing it over and over again. I usually break it out once or twice a year now and beat it.

My all time favorite would be the Orginal Command and Conquer: Tiberian Dawn DOS version. I can remember playing on my puny 486DX4 100.

Atlien247,

Baseball Stars, so true! It was one of the uglier games out there, but strangely addictive.

Ultima 1-5
Always the same game, but always fun. Months wasted Avatar!
Anything with Mario, from Donkey Kong all the way to today.

Star Castle!!! I forgot about that. Vector graphics games RULE

Gnognuts, Adventure was created by Warren Robinette (find the invisible dot in the lower maze and plug it into a wall, then you could walk through it). Great game.

Anyone remember the name of the arcade game where you rode a unicycle and popped balloons? I owned on that.

Yeah, do you remember the name?
I have been trying to think of it since MAME came out, cuz I want to play it again, but that was 20+ years ago:|

I wanna say Circus? Something or other? Good thing it doesn't exist anymore, cause I would have given you a run for your money!

There was another game that I played forever that was a stationary space station, with ships that would fire from the four edges of the screen. Your only controls were four buttons, to fire a fixed laser at each one. Purely a reaction button pressing game. Any recollection of it? I don't remember it ever being popular. It was just at our local hangout, and I happened to rule it.

I almost remember that one. I can almost see it, but no.

The balloon game was the first game I remember that could be beaten, so since you can't improve on perfection...

Wow....hearing all these old school titles make me really nostalgic...time to download a Mame emulator!

Here's some oldies but goodies:
PC (old-timers)
E.L.I.T.E.
M.U.L.E.
Karataka
Choplifter
Empire Deluxe! and its clones like Strategic Conquest & Battles of Destiny
Archon

I'll think of more as they come to me.

PC, Quake/Everquest
NES, Contra/Dragon Warrior
SNES, MK2/Killer Instinct

Never owned any other console systems, and gaming in general is starting to fade for me. 95% of games aren't even interesting.
