If you're in Cali, try Beringer's Cab Sauv. Pricy, but awesome.
Try Masi's Campofiorin.
If you can get it, Inniskillin's Pinot Grigio is cheap and tasty. (Go Canada!)

any white wine that comes from Italy or France.
my local liquor store has a section devoted just to sweet wines, so I'll usually take a random bottle from there. I like just about everything I buy, but nothing so much that I'm willing to buy it more than once. I'm still searching for my perfect wine
Haven't yet sampled any of the Cabernets as of yet. Be certain to give us a report should you do so before I do.Originally posted by: Slickone
BTW, thanks for the tip on Greg Norman Estates. How is the Cab Merlot or Shiraz Cab?
Hmm, I'm gonna go buy some wine this week. I've been meaning to find one of the fancy openers cheap somewhere. Mine likes to eat corks.

I used to be a wine maker...pressed my own grapes, soaked the oaked barrels and all that good stuff...my grapes came from Cali so any real wine from grapes is great...made both red and white..the white tasted like a Champagne Chardonnay while the red was a bit more robust and oakey....

Ice wine? Wow, I'd only heard of ice beer until now. Which ice wine do you drink?
