Apple and cheddar, no clue why I like it so much.
I just tried this, and I wasn't impressed. It wasn't bad, but I didn't think it was that great either. I cut up apples, put them in a bowl, added shredded sharp cheddar, and nuked it for a couple minutes. Is that what you do?
Not exactly, no. I mean, I can't speak for the person who originally mentioned it, but in my experience the apples and cheese are at room temp or below, and remain in their original state until munched. No nuking or melting. In the apple pie approach you simply shave some sharp cheddar into thin slices and place it on top of the pie, which is usually warm. Again no overt melting is required.
