What's your favourite WWII FPS?

I've never played a World War II FPS that I really actually liked. Call of Duty, Medal of Honor and Day of Defeat aren't real World War II games they are more of Quake with World War II weapons... I have very high hopes for Brothers in Arms though... I have alot of questions for the devs, but I cant seem to register on their forums.

Single player COD,
multiplayer (how i spend most of my time gaming) I like both BF1942 and RTCW: Enemy Territory A LOT.

COD all the way.

Since then, I've tried to go back and play Medal of Honor and just can't do it. I keep pressing the right mouse button to look down the sights.

How does COD compare to DOD? I know some will say "it beats the crap out of DOD", but why?

CoD single player>all

CoD multi player>bf1942 and bf:veitnam - Battlefield just doesn't have good enough graphics for me. The idea is excellent, don't get me wrong with the planes and everything. But insted of doing one thing good, they did a bunch of things decently. Thats why CoD gets my vote.

Yes it does: RTCW and MOHAA, and I'd probably pick RTCW by a nose as the best one.

Did anyone ever play Operation Flashpoint? It was a bit buggy, but man it is a great WW2 game!!!

That's what I'm playing through right now. I just beat the level called "The Bridge". If CoD is better than MOHAA then I can't wait to fire it up. I have it sitting on my desk right now waiting for me to finish with MOHAA.

I got OF a few months after it came out. I loved the missions, but man, that game was hard. I didn't really have the hardware at the time to enjoy it fully, so I sold it on the FS/FT forums. I'm considering getting the Game of the Year version that includes the original game plus the Red Hammer and Resistance expansions.

It's only $20 at GoGamer.

Yea it was hard, but man, it was the best game thus far. It seriously felt like I was there, undergoing each mission. There were some missions where I was completely alone, running away from tanks and choppers. Your heart just pumps like crazy and the sound fx of it doeesn't help either. I highly recommend you pick it up again. In fact I might do the same since I didn't play the other parts of it (didn't know of it until now).

I ended up flipping the game, all missions were awesome. Hard but very realistic.
