It's been a WHOLE lotta years since I waited to get gas. Can't remember the last time I couldn't pull right up to a pump and do the deed.

Did a Gas Buddy search today and found a few places in the sub $3 range in a couple of states.

May last gas purchase in one car was March 31 and the other car was July 1.

When I started this thread I quoted the price for gas at Sam's Club in Tallahassee on Mar 4, 2022 as $3.39 per gallon for regular. Today the price at Sam's Club for regular was $3.39 per gallon. So we had a rise and fall of prices that covered less than 6 months. It was interesting, but certainly not not the be all and end all of pricing problems. On to the next one.

I paid $4.30 for diesel on 2/21, at the nearby Costco it's currently $4.96. On 1/19 I paid $3.90.

Yeah seems we're back in the same ball park as post covid now. Before covid it was around 1.40ish if I recall. It dropped to below a dollar for a little while when covid first hit then started to creep back up.

Going IN to town this morning , I noticed the price at an off brand station/convenience store. Coming back OUT of town a few hours later, it was 3 cents lower at $3.39

I bought gas a a different major brand station in town and paid $3.34

Regular/economy grade.

$3.99 today at a junction in upstate NY near the state park we are camping at. Some big box stores, some little stores, and a couple gas stations. Small town junction.

Still about $4.25 at the cheapest stations in town.

Prices dropped a little.
Many stations a little below 5.00 (4.80-4.90) but the brand name stations, Shell, Chevon, Valero are still
5.50 to 5.75.

Costco looks to be the cheapest at 4.54. We're probably about .60-.75/gal more
expensive on average, than we were before the Ukraine invasion.
