Dropped four cents at Costco for diesel, down to $4.86 after holding at $4.90 for like a week and a half. Other stations were at $5.10 or more.

what needs to get fixed? $90 fill up? sounds like what needs to get fixed is you not driving a stupid bullshit monster truck that you don't need.

$90 is not filling up a truck. Try $200 with these prices.

As for the whole truck shaming that seems to be going on, some people actually use their truck as a truck. Ever try to put 20 sheets of drywall or a yard of gravel in a Prius or try to go down a questionable bush road in one?

Ok, so I've somewhat done stuff like that when I had a regular car. Who knew you could fit 10+ 8' 2x6's or even 10' unistruts in an Alero. I also went down some pretty rough roads with it. I was also helping my mom with a garden and filled the trunk with rocks. Turns out the bottom is made of particle board.

That's why I ended up getting a truck.

YOU actually use your truck for "truck-things" which is perfectly fine.

MOST folks in the US that drive massive, poor handling, gas-guzzling, road-hogging full-sized trucks use them as passenger vehicles exclusively which is just dumb.

Oh yeah that I agree with. On similar note it seems trucks are slowly turning into mini vans. So much cab space, so little bed space. I got mine specifically because it has an 8 foot box, and I've made lot of use of it but they are getting rarer now.

I just found out over the weekend that my Q sister and my Q niece have been printing out those BIDEN DID THAT stickers and handing out the stickers to family to go around the area and sticking on gas pumps.
Naturally, they dare not try this on me, but word gets around....
And I know my Q's are too cheap to simply order the stickers off ebay, they'd rather print their own on printable sticker paper, which they are doing.

Politics aside, I thought that was considered vandalism? Like carrying around a can of spray paint and spraying grafitti on public property? They DO have cameras at those gas pumps, don't they know?
If this is the new fad, shit.... I could have printed out stacks of TRUMP DID THAT stickers during Trump's presidency and stuck then on coffins of covid victims. Or, on Rudy Giuliani's forehead.

It's just a sticker and comes off. Doug Ford was mandating stickers on gas pumps protesting the carbon tax. Green party decided to have stickers put on to protest that. Most people were just ripping them off either way. They didn't last very long.

HEY! I love my open-back SUV that mostly gets used for hauling me and the wife around...and a dog that pukes in the back seat.
(but I DO use it as a truck occasionally)

Good graph indicating the number of active oil wells in the US. Still not back to pre-pandemic levels

In addition - after the price decline in 2015, shale companies started deferring bringing new wells online. Instead they prioritized tapping and depleting ready to go wells to keep costs low. So it doesn't sound all that easy to ramp this back up

Wait a sec...

I thought our oil production levels are Biden's fault?

I mean it is. Hunter Biden was in the Ukraine working with them in their Biological warfare research labs to develop COVID-19 which they then released to cause a global pandemic in order to close down oil wells and facilitate the confiscation of all of America's guns.

This is a joke. Please don't turn this thread into P&N material

Ha, ask a parent about how stickers "just come off"
Modern stickers bind to their substrate on the quantum level, so unless you just happen to have a proton accelerator lying around . . .

The product Goof-Off also works, but I'm pretty sure some black magic is involved, so . . . you've been warned.

Down from 4.20 to 4.15 at regular gas stations, down at Costco from 4.01 to 3.93 - not much but at least in the right direction. Just got gas at Costco, was fast, only 4 cars in front of me at 4:30pm.

filled up the tank last night and regular was 3.99
~63 bucks to fill up.

That's rookie numbers! That's about what my Alero cost to fill up pre covid before I got the truck.

That was actually a decent little car and I got my money's worth out of it, but totally not suited for the places I brought it... lol.

Gas prices here don't seem to be budging from 1.89/litre. I have not had to fill up yet so far so I'm trying to stretch my tank as far as I can in hopes it does come back down. I'm a bit less than 3/4 now.

Filled up the Forester yesterday at $3.77 a gallon. Today it is $3.75 at the same HEB! Dang it!

5.55 reg and 5.85 premium at Costco, but my Model Y arrived (replaced a Prius I sold for $4K more than I bought it for 3 years ago) so I won't be filling up very often anymore

I feel I've seen this scene before in countless action flicks. There's probably murderer waiting for you in the back seat.

Gas still $1.89/litre here. Seems to be staying there.

Percentage wise, diesel went up more than gas here also.
Gas 3.99
Diesel 4.99

I remember when diesel was consistently cheaper than gas.

Connecticut just eliminated the gas-tax April 1st through June 30th.

NOT on diesel though... the rational being most of it is sold to truckers from out of state. (diesel is around $4.70 here currently... gas $4.25)
