i'm a good standardized test taker. Good to be smart, but better to know the tricks. plus, it helps that my high school made us take the psat since the 9th grade.
Can you guys post what grad school you got into for your GRE scores? From the looks of it, most people in ATOT go to some super elite ivy league school for a Ph.D or has a PhD from one.
UVa for undergrad Physics/Math double major Astronomy minor
MIT for Physics grad. Plan was for Ph.D in high energy, astro, or something. Never made up my mind because my disability finally got the better of me and I just couldn't hack it.
When did they start going to finer resolution that 10 pts on the GMAT? Or when did they stop?
I got 760 on mine almost 2 years ago now. Finishing up B-school now.
Wow that's a long way to go to just quit. What disability if you don't mind me asking?
Muscular Dystrophy. I'm on a ventilator now and require 24 hour care. I've been hospitalized 6 times in the past year and gone under the knife 4 times. It's a rough life.

Q710 V710 SAT
Practice GRE: 740q/750v
I can has business Ph.D.?
The GMAT is scored in 10pt increments. There has been an unfortunate amount of score-creep on the GMAT; Time was a 700 meant 97.5%, now the SD is about 120 instead of 100.
V has stayed the same, but Q is being destroyed by the newer test-takers.
I'm guessing some of that has to do with better prep; some of that has to do with internet-cheating. But most of it has to do with Asians and displaced financial analysis being great at math.
The V still has a median and a bell curve, but the 'curve' is so skewed on the math that it isn't even a curve any more.

Yeah, I was mainly asking because there were a few GMAT posts with scores like 755 and 748.
