But then, I'm an advanced weight lifter with under 15% BF at the moment.
Well an advanced lifter would be a lot fatter att 15% than a normal person so i guess you are just fat.
Anything over 12% for a serious builder is not only overweght, it's borderline obese, so either you have built no muscle (these are percentages we are talking about, the more muscle the less your fat percentage should be) or you have been drinking way too much beer.

joker...
You do realise bb get really fat iln the off season to maximise gaining muscle right? You just don't see how fat they get when they are in their off season as no one wants to look at that. They do it so they maximise their muscle gains without slowing it down via lack of nutrients.
I'm a national level weightlifter in England, 5"10, 86kg morning weight, cutting to 83.08Kg at the last comp, walk around weight 87kg, goes up to 90kg in the evenings after lots of food and water. In 3-5yrs I'll really lean down and lift at an ultra cut 85Kg with 9% bf. I walk around about 13% as I'm all about lifting more and getting results. I can be really cut later when I lift more. I still have an 8 pack showing @ 13% and most people grossly underestimate their bf% anyway or it isn't accurate. Or have no muscle development...

LOL, I'm glad you're so concerned. Actually, I missed this post because I WAS out drinking beer last night.
First, I don't compete. Second, I am doing my winter bulking.
And this is what I look like at about 15% BF:
