AIM is the protocol I use most often, but GAIM is my client, so I'm always logged on to AIM, MSN, Yahoo, IRC (for no particular reason), and Gtalk.

Thats the truth. AIM for OS X is horrible crashes every few minutes and has not been updated for a year or so. Now that ADIUM's support for file transfers is better, I couldn't be happier with it.

I do not believe, it is very small and to the point, however there is a massive amount of plug ins for it that would probably do it.

IRC, because IM is pretty much the same thing only worse.

Actually I have GAIM installed and setup to use the GTalk network for 2 people that don't IRC, but I only end up using it once or twice a week.
