My dad has a personal wealth management guy from Royal Bank, who manages alot of his stuff. But he's also very hands on too, and has made alot of money from his personal hunches.

I'm more into staying very comfortable at retirement than getting rich.

Index-based mutual funds like Vanguard.com's VFINX (S&P 500), VEIEX / VEURX (worldwide), Dreyfus DISSX (small-cap). Buy and hold for decades.

It's a secret. BUTT having some other person, such as an investment banker, manage your money is a no-no. He or she is making themselves rich with your money, with your risk - not theirs. It's the old saying Other People's Money. You get a 2% return as they get 10% or more.
