I propably have the most boring job in the world, Accountant Which is ironic considering I suck at math

I also do ALL the tech support for the company, so it's not all that bad

Not even going to try. Probably wouldn't mean anything to anybody here anyway. But I'm in the consumer products testing field.

Software Developer for Kodak Health Imaging Division. Most of my time is spent doing SQL Server development and writing VB and ASP applications. The manufacturing plant I work at makes the film that's used in digital laser imagers for printing CT scans, mammograms, MRI's, digital x-rays, etc. This stuff here.
We are regulated by the FDA, so there is a big emphasis on software testing. Theoretically, a bug in the quality control software I write could lead to defective film being released and sold, and could cause a doctor to misdiagnose a patient, which could end up killing someone.

I hate software testing. It is extraordinarily boring. And I also go to far too many meetings. But the rest of the job is really interesting and fun. Actually designing and coding the software is what keeps me interested and liking the job. And the pay is pretty damn good considering the job market right now.

Anyway, I'm a Hell Desk tech for a huge mortgage company you've probably heard of. Only making $17hr now. My first full year after turning 18, I reported 65k!!! What happened?!?!?!!? Sigh. Of course, I was selling cars then.

Hate selling.

I'm a Bakery B!tch (aka clerk). The work sucks, but free food and attractive girls keep me working there.

Seeing as I just turned 17, I should really start looking for a better job. Many of you who got nice jobs making $15+/hour at 17-18 must have had connections eh? I wish I had connections like that

Although I do live in a relatively small town so there isn't much room for a better job given my age, unless I commuted 30-60 mins downtown everyday...

I develop film at Eckerds. I worked 60 hours this week, three fourteen hour days. Thankfully I get paid by the hour, so this is a nice check. I like it, basically I have no immediate supervisor, so as long as I do a good job for the customers (i.e. they don't complain), I don't have to take any orders from the managers Can be kind of stressful, have to know how to deal with people. This is my second summer doing this, I go to Texas A&M during the year. I sympathize with the pharmacy technician, I see these customers all day.
