Stop crapping the guys thread. You may see it as an e-peen contest. I see it as a fun way to play guess what car. Thread was good till that crap started. Don't like it? Don't post. Jesus.

I hope that isn't aimed at me. I always thought hp/weight is a very interesting number, but the motorcycle actually can't keep the acceleration up past 150mph once the wind resistance becomes a huge factor.

I don't know how to do this math. If I divide 6700lb (truck, me, full tank) by 240 (rated hp) I get 0.036 (rounded).

You said it right, but you calculated it the other way around.

It`s 6700/240=27.91

240/6700=.036 which is hp/lb

Using the numbers from your sig?
can't be...using 300WHP in his calculation would mean that his "fully loaded" Mustang GT only weighs ~2,830-lbs, and an '05 GT is at least 600-lbs heavier than that. i don't even know if an '05 GT can be stripped down to the ~2,800-lb range in the first place...if it is possible, it sure as hell isn't loaded (or even a relatively comfortable daily driver) at that point...and based on his sig, i'm assuming this is a daily driver and not a weekend track toy.

even if he estimated his flywheel HP using a generous "average drivetrain loss" of 18% (resulting in 354 flywheel HP), the calculation results in a ~3,340-lb car - still far too light for a base '05 GT, let alone a loaded one.

Somewhere around 9:1 (estimated).

Around 2600-2700lbs, and around 300 HP. Absolutely no idea if that's accurate, but it's fun to guess.

22.7:1 on the Prius.
16.4:1 on the Miata.

Slowest commuter and slowest sports car.. Oh yea.

you still overlook the cost and exclusivity portion. I would consider the Viper more of a super car and my camaro is FAR from it.

You need to let it go. Your original post was that you "haven't seen any supercar numbers in here". Since the only numbers being posted were lbs/hp, and many of them were in fact better than many bona-fide supercars, you were called out on that. Trying to qualify your statement on a technicality after the fact is just silly.

You're right that posting "supercar numbers" for lbs/hp doesn't actually mean that you own a supercar, but that's not what you posted.
