experimental practices in music. What is that?

The program is wide open and largely unstructured, so it means different things to different students here. Some will say that "Experimental Practices" refers to applying the critical studies part in novel ways to music, while others will claim that it refers to actual musical practice. I like both explanations. I pursue music criticism (not the journalistic variety) with theories and methods gleaned from other disciplines, and I perform new and experimental sorts of music.

That explanation was way too long...

if I could do it all over again... I would major in Industrial Engineering
with a math minor

I think a Finance major with a math minor is good too

but I guess I'm happy with my current major... I have interviews at two of my top choices for a summer internship so I'm doing something right

Technically, I've never changed my major, but I have changed the specific degree within my major a couple of times.

Major: Biology

Degree: BA in Human Biology -> BS in Genetics -> BS in Cell Biology

Graduate: Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (umbrella program). Haven't chosen a degree yet b/c I start in august.

It was general studies, then I changed it to computer technologies, then I changed it to electrical engineering technology.

Triple Major:

Computer Science
Computer & Electrical Engineering
Physics

Lots of course overlap, so might as well go for all three. It's like 120 units for each one, but 180 or something like that for all three combined.

Computer Science I could teach and I'm just going for the piece of paper. Physics is fun. But the engineering is what I'm benefiting the most from. While you can teach yourself to program and download or even pirate the necessary software free (for educational purposes of course), you can't exactly download a $10,000 oscilloscope and $20,000 logic analyzer to teach yourself RF systems and bus protocols... having access to a lab for the hands on 'see it for yourself' experience is a must.

it pigeon holed me into certain classes. some of the classes i wasn't interested in but i had to take because they were prereqs for my language major.
