Eating out = about 2-3 hundred a month for the two of us. Eating "good" food costs a few hundred more. E.g., made a fruit salad last night; the fruit cost about $25

For just myself last month was 148.59 from "Woodman's Food Market" plus maybe $20 - $30 tops at other places but as I paid with cash for most of the extra there is no good record.
Eating out typically is under $15 a week, but I don't go out every week either.

Edit: And about another $3-5 a day for lunch at work depending on what I get which comes to $60-$80 more a month.

And here I thought that our food budget was a touch high, and we needed to eat out less often. You guys are making me feel better about it.
Groceries aren't as cheap as they used to be. I almost feel like eating out has gotten to be a bit of a bargain since it hasn't seen nearly as much price inflation as groceries have (since I started cooking for myself).

Family of 4 and 2 pets: We spend at least $800 per month if not more, and that is with my oldest daughter working at a restaurant and eating there about 3 to 4 times per week. I buy as many generics as I can possibly buy. Might spend $50 a month eating out but I doubt it.

Between $130 and $150 for groceries. I pretty much only buy for me (though my roommate and I will often cook together). He spends about $200 a month. We buy pretty much the same stuff, but I buy in bulk, use coupons and take advantage of sales (ie, a case of canned corn when it is on sale for ~$.20/can).

As for eating out, it varies month to month. This past month, it was about $150 on food and only about $75 on alcohol (including my homebrewing costs, which brings that expense down significantly).

On average, the grocery bill is approximately $250 to $300 per month for two adults. The cost is more if we're entertaining or being entertained (bringing a dish to a party, for instance). I have rarely seen the bill go beyond $150, and we like to do a big monthly shop and supplement weekly. We eat out a couple times a week but consider that to be "entertainment".

or just me (single) i can vary from $100 to $300 a month. Generally though i would say about 150 a month. I rarely eat out.

Now these next few months where i get free breakfast and dinners during the week....itll be closer to just 50 a month

We'd need to save some receipts to get a better estimate, but I figure about $360 for the two of us. We get bountiful baskets every week for $16.50, and that is a great start on the fruit and veg.

thats 3 meals a day +snacks. We do a lot of fruit and veggies witch always seem to be the big part of the bill.

I am incredibly lazy and buy food every day but usually pretty healthy like grilled chicken etc.

Work gives us free lunch wed and Monday. Probably spend $400 ish a month

Usually end up below that. Probably my highest expense is going out to lunch with coworkers - view that as an investment.
