Penn, currently 39th and Walnut. Next year moving down to 39th/Baltimore, though... not really looking forward to that, especially if next year is as cold as this one.

I bike 16 blocks to class every day. You get used to it.

The city keeps creeping up to me tho. When I first moved there were no houses between me and the highway. Now there are 5. Had my first auto break in the other night. When my property value recovers I'll be looking move further out in to the sticks.

83 out of 100. I live in Old NE St. Petersburg, FL. I'm 5 blocks from downtown, and it's great. I have a grocery store, starbucks, gas station, italian restaurant, mexican restaurant, drug store all within two blocks. A small beach is 6 blocks away.

I got a score of 25 for my new place. It's a big condo complex, and all of the parks and stores are about a mile away.

I got a score of 10 for my old place. It's a small renovated farm house in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by a nature preserve, horse farm, and convent. It was at least a 5 mile drive to any decent stores or restaurants.

Miniature horses are F'n weird looking. They look like a cross between a horse, a cow, and a sheep. They're kind of cute, but utterly worthless :^D

They should factor in crime rate though. I live in a not-so-ritzy neighborhood, so I don't usually walk around that much.

Hrm, several acres of fields freshly plowed if I go out the back door. If I go out the front its about a mile of single lane road , then down the railroad tracks another mile to the nearest store. I do walk everywhere including getting grocery though. It really isn't that far once I get started.

Crime wise, you could walk any time of day with your wallet open and thousands in cash hanging out and be safe doing it.
