I'm getting out of this P3 128MB RAM Presario with WinME and making meself a lovely high-end computer.

Final price: $2778.79 without the watercooling which I'm still doing research on.

used car. budget is $8000 tops. preferably $5k - $7k.

been thinking about these cars:

chevy impala. should be the 3.8L V6 with 200 horses.
mits galant 00' or so. hopefully a ES V6 with 205 horses.
olds intrigue 00' or after. they have the 3.5L with 225 horses.
00' or so lumina. yeah i know these are rental cars and old folk's car. but it should be the cheapest of the bunch. has the 3.1L with 175 horses i think.

the reason i picked those is because they have low resale values, meaning i can get a decent one for cheap... i mean i like the ford focus and the elentra GT but they are closer to compact's... and if $8000 or so can get me a mid-size, why get a compact?

give me some suggestions. im looking for practical cars that will be used for commutes and hauling crap. that is why im looking at sedans.

what? basic channels are all SD ... no way is a $1300 tv upscaling SD and making it look like HD. I think if you look, its still 480i and not 720p/1080i
