I'm 28 but lived a very eclectic life before settiling down 7 years ago. One of my first acts was to build a computer. I learned how from a book ... and then I got AOL , and then I got rid of AOL and it was good....

i remember getting online when prodigy first came out, on the old packard-bell 386 with a brand new 2400 baud modem and DOS 5, playing some old text-based adventure game. so my online age would be somewhere around 12 or 13. oh the good ol' days...

I discovered "chat" on a VAX 11/780 mainframe in 1985... used to chat with some guy at RIT (IIRC)... I was at Alfred Univ. He sent me a message first.... I was like "whoa! Dude, how did you do that?!" Prior to that, we used to do stuff on the campus networks, but I really wouldn't call that the "internet"
