Same here. I'll put the 1280x1024 I use on my work monitor instead.

This poll is worthless without 1680x1050. Add it for a lot more votes, and a more accurate results.

Yeah, we're "stuck" at an optimal resolution showing flickerless graphics, precise text, and a beautiful screen. If you have to be stuck, why not be stuck on perfection? Have fun changing resolutions all day.

i've got 1280x1024 on 17 inch. its all i really need for home. at work i've got dual 17s for 2560 x 1024 but i have far more windows open there.

i tend to like 1280x1024, dont have to get suepr fast video cards to run a native resolution 3d game for one thing. i would though upgrade someday to a 24" widescreen (20" widescreen is barely more resolution than 17" 4:3 and is not enough of an improvement in my opinion) with the glossy covering (like my 17"). alas no one makes one like that yet.

I can change my LCD's res to many things. Most CRT owners are stuck with a square screen. Have fun with that. Widescreen gaming is great.

My Trinitron CRTs both let me adjust the picture size to get proper 16:9 though the direct acess controls in Nvidia drivers.

And you lose about 35% of your CRT display doing this....

Yep, pretty easy. The CRT "elitist" attitude is a bit funny to me. Some act as if a LCD is like using an etch-a-sketch to view graphics with, and that only a CRT can produce a good image.

Indeed, that's what I'm at right now. I voted for my desktop though, which is at 1280x960.

Amazing how CRT owners can switch from any resolution to the next without god-awful crappy, horrid, blurriness and degraded looks through awful interloption. LCD owners can't do that since they are stuck with "emulated" resolutions with sub-par sharpness (since LCD owners don't have the option of looking good at any resolution but one). Have fun with that.

That's pretty ironic, because CRT owners find it a bit funny that the "elitist" attitudes of LCD owners who seem to think simply because it's newer and thinner that it actual equals BETTER graphics at all resolutions.

I'd be a rich man if I had a nickel for everytime I heard an LCD owner talk about how superior LCDs are over CRTs even though they can only view one resolution that is worth a darn... "But it's slimer and newer... that mean's it's better, right?!?!".

You're clueless, eh? All of us using LCDs used to use CRTs, bud. I was using 3 P1130's (21" Dell's) before moving to a 2005FPW with 2 1901FPs, and then to a 2405FPW with 2 2001FPs.

I'm well aware of what CRTs looks like, and I won't be ditching my 2405s anytime soon.

You hold on to your die hard attitude with your CRT, while the rest of us with LCDs enjoy true quality.
