SSD's should not be your limiting factor, as they are rocket fast.

For comparison, I'm using a 3x60GB SF-1200s. You've got me beat on most tests, but the number I'm actually most jealous of is the tiny 18GB of disk space used!

Also, for what it's worth AS SSD says I'm 31K BAD. I'm not sure how much performance difference that really makes on Windows 7.

I see a SB at 4.7ghz getting squashed by a 920@3.7 and by a pair of Xeons just over 4. Then theres a lot of 980x above it as well

RE: price vs. performance - do you think the driver of a Ferrari cares about gas mileage or price of tune ups? If people want to go fast - really fast - cost is of secondary concern.

To my understanding a SR-2 overclocked still isnt enough for a 7.9

Dual Xeon systems get 7.9 across the board. Gulftown systems, 7.8 (CPU holds it back)

Yes it's close but you have to push them further than most people feel comfortable for 24/7 use.

To be honest 4GHz is like taking candy from a baby and produces big numbers for encoding. There is so much reserve built into these chips it's not funny. If they did not have throttling built in, at stock volts and speed they'd probably run without a heatsink!
