I hate to bump an older thread,

My score was 5.9 (held back by my hard disk drive - 7.5+ in everything else). It's a Crucial c300 256GB that gets a decent AS SSD score (570 overall). That AS SSD score matches with others online, but the 5.9 in WEI has me wondering if the way the drive is recognized by windows has it slowing down for windows operations. Any ideas?

5.9 isn't right for a Crucial SSD. You should be pegging 7+

However, I don't know what the problem is.

Yeah, I have the same drive and I'm getting 7.9. Something is definitely off there.

Thanks, and Zorkorist too. Posted about it in the relevant section. I thought it was just in my head that the drive wasn't as snappy as I hoped for, but there we have it.

I'll rerun the test after a (hopeful) fix!

Swapped out my X-25V for an 80GB X-25M.

Man, getting that last 0.2 is going to be exponentially more expensive

CPU @ 4.8 GHz
GPU @ 920 MHz Core

^ wow nice scores, so .2 more for everything besides the SSD then only .1 more to max out the scale! :awe:

That's my laptop not bad for something that's mobile.

You can edit that score and make it a 10.0. Use 3dmark 05/06, 3dmark 01 and vantage. Vantage are heavily influenced by the disk setup specially ssds

My X6 at 4Ghz is the weak link according to Microsoft. I figured it would be my DDR2 RAM.

id like to see that 7.9.

To my understanding a SR-2 overclocked still isnt enough for a 7.9

SR-2 o/c to "just" 4.5GHz is fine for 7.9!

More SR-2 goodies!

Got to keep those CPUs busy with lots of F-A-S-T storage, pal!

And Cinebench:

Fritz Chess Benchmark only supports 16 cores so those results are bogus. :|

I got 5.9 everywhere, but I'm using Vista, it's limited to 5.9 max on Vista correct? Not sure how much I'd get on Windows 7 and I don't plan on buying a new OS anytime soon.

5.9 is the ceiling for Vista.

SSDs - lots of SSDs!

Right now it's still being tested / validated. It will be used for rendering and chess. :awe:

That is with a RevoDrive SSD, a Hybrid 2TB Drive and Intel SSD Raid 5 Array and Velociraptor Raid 5 Array running off a LSI 9640 pcie card.

I would love to see the folding PPD running with linux. Also that is a lot of money going into storage then. I would love to have that baby sitting around for a rendering machine, but alas it is not in the cards.
