I just bought an '05 Civic a couple of weeks ago Saturday. On Monday, I drove the the insurance office to get the policy change done. On my way home from there, a gravel truck throws a rock and my windshield cracked from the bottom to about 3/4 the way up, directly in front of me. By the time I got home, the crack had split, and was heading off in 3 directions. I called the insurance office, and asked the guy when was the soonest after insurance was put on a car that a claim had been made. Gahhh....$250 deductible, anyway, so I paid the whole thing.

It was one of the worst months ever in my second year in college. I fried my Athlon T bird, earlier in the month, then when I got a new one, my friend dropped my monitor and I had to RMA that, then I got the monitor back and when I was taking it out of the car, my watch fell off my wrist and the glass shattered on the concrete. To top it off a bird took a crap on my head and my transmission in my car died by the end of the month.


Last month I got a fortune cookie that said "God gave you one face and you make yourselves another". What the hell does that mean"?

didn't you get it checked out by the mechanic before you bought it ? Shouldn't they have noticed something ?

When I spent 3 hours yesterday trying to figure out this stupid bug here at work, then when I realize I just needed to move the

nilCounter := 1;

out of its current for loop, and move it up literally 2 lines of code, and that solved the problem I had been investigating for 3 hours in completely different ways

I do most of my own work if I can. The problem never manifested itself until after a couple of days of ownership.

just waited a month for my new 6800GT to come back from RMA process..put it in the computer...and had the same problem I had with the old one. So i've made no progress on fixing my fvcking computer, and can't narrow down between any of the 7 different thigns that coudl be wrong, and I have no ohter computer to test this sh1t in.

actually i just forgot about a check i wrote, i really hate places, that dont cash checks in a timely manner, check written 7-11, cashed 9-12, thats fing 2 months

So the driver's side window on my car stopped working about a year ago. It was pretty inconveniencing, but it never bothered me too much. Well last week I took my car in to get a couple new tires. When the guy calls me to tell me the car's ready, he starts asking me if there is a trick to rolling the window back up. Sure enough, teh window decided to roll down for the first time in a year and wouldn't roll back up. Even better, it was the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, meaning all the mechanics were closed until Tuesday. Finally, to top it all off, it started raining shortly after leaving the tire shop and didn't stop all weekend.
