I am not a 'huge' guy...average length, a little thick, still been told it was more than enough. I really can't imagine someone with more than half a ruler doing more than just being eye-candy.
A quote I once heard in this kind of discussion was, 'he is fun to watch, but hell if I want my hips separated, I only let him go down on me". Another girl mumbled yeah me too, I tried.
Chick fights are funny especially when both can hardly walk as it is.
The guy got a lot of chicks though, quite a few time more than one at a time, I don't really know what went on once they got home (he bragged about everything I am sure it was interesting and fun regardless). When he was questioned about his, he'd just whip it out (we were in clubs not on a street or in a starbucks, although one chick did go somewhere with him from one.)...50/50 they'd ask/just touch it or be freaked out and have him ejected. He would always be sure to mention how big he was in the first 10 seconds of conversation...I stopped hanging around him, because his 'hanging' was all the topic was due to him.
He never had a girlfriend though, he wanted one, but due to his own crap and perhaps the size of it he didn't. Not to mention he was a stripper on the side / paramedic or fireman also...good combos for fun nights.
Personally I have found just keeping a lady smiling and laughing, entertained > than anything in your pants.
My response though to this is still you'll basically have to find out. If they go on about it, I bail.
