Sure it's a "super group" made up of two of the biggest modern day rock group's front men and also John Paul Jones(Led Zeppelin bassist) but it's definitely the band that renewed my faith in Rock music.

Rock died about the time MTV stopped playing any music and started playing nothing but reality shows.

Can't exactly say what killed it, but I distinctly remember that point in time being when I no longer found new rock material regularly coming out (MTV/radio).

LOL,almost every kid i know or any young person likes that disgusting rap and hip hop music,i don't really see what makes it so interesting

All the music consists of is about guys bragging about banging women,having money and blasting a cap in a mofos ass while having some beat that you can't even get a jiggy with it.

I would rather hear a dog die of a slow slow painful death while a fart happens to push out of its ass when its bowels collapse then hear rap.:|

I think the problem is what passes for Rock nowadays. You only have to look at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to see that people don't have a clue what constitutes Rock.

Rock hasn't died. It's just harder to find the good stuff.

Rock isn't dead. It still gets a lot of air play but it's no longer mainstream. The decline began in the 90s with the rise of hip hop to the masses and the return of bubblegum pop. Now hip hop is slowly being supplanted by house music and dubstep. Considering rock has been popular for almost 60 years, I'd say it's has a good run. Longer if you consider it to be a subgenre of blues.
