No. The transfer rate on a typical hard drive is MUCH faster than even the fastest CD writer (currently the 16x Yamaha). Do the math:
150kps x 16 = 2400kps = roughly 2.3MBps, assuming that 1MB = 1024k
Modern hard drives (even the 5,400 rpm ones) hover around 20MBps sustained transfer rates, showing that a typical hard drive's performance is about 10x greater than the fastest burners.
I don't think we have anything to worry about right now.
