A 35-year-old woman was killed when she fell into a meat grinder at a processing plant in northern Pennsylvania. Jill Greninger fell into the grinding machine at the meat company Economy Locker Storage Company in Muncy around 11:30am on Monday morning. The meat company employee’s body was found after a co-worker heard strange noises coming from the commercial grinder. Firefighters reportedly spent around 45 minutes taking the large machine apart to recover the woman’s remains. It is not yet clear what caused the accident, but the Lycoming County coroner’s office said Ms Greninger may have been standing on a set of wheeled stairs prior to the fatal accident.

It's weird, it would be a pretty quick way to go but it still seems hideous. Normally the quick, no lingering around in agony ways seem not so bad.

Same. Worst way to go would be meat grinder in a horror film... It goes halfway and eats your legs... has a slight jam for 15-20 seconds... then slowly continues.

You make an interesting point. From a 'this sucks' perspective I get it. It's long and drawn out and painful in many cases. I think we are just so used to these type of things we don't consider them out of the ordinary, it is kind of just expected.

I don't know, I watched a show on PBS about a couple bear attacks in Glacier NP in the 60's. One girl was dragged out of her sleeping bag by the arm or something and pulled screaming into the woods where it ate her alive. I'd hope a commercial meat grinder would be a little quicker than that.

Attacked by a bear, shoves one hand in it's mouth..crunch. Bear goes to bite again, shoves his other hand in it's mouth..crunch. And, life threating injury to bear bite insult, BAM...shot in the leg by his son in law, with a hunting rifle.
