When is Broadwell desktop release date ?

It's just the move to Intel's best graphics along with the EDRAM (although only 64 MB). The rumored TDP is only 65 W, so you would think the default clock would probably be closer to 3.6/4 than Devil's Canyon. Overclocking is a real unknown.

Broadwell is Gen8, so apparently, yes.

At this point I don't think anyone would be surprised if that happened. Well, some people would be, but a lot of people wouldn't be.

If the question/challenge is graphics performance, then Intel is there already at least by raw average FPS with its embedded Dram graphics. Although who knows about drivers or performance consistency, certainly not AnandTech.

If the question is HSA and heterogeneous unified memory access, than there may not be an answer untill Skylake or even later.

That means... people will act in different ways depending on their expectations? I feel we are onto something here!
