You gonna let those living in the Upper West Side that are railing against diversifying their schools hang with you holier-than-thou's?

Watch: Roomful of Rich, White NYC Parents Get Big Mad at Plan to Diversify Neighborhood’s Schools
It is amazing how liberals create in spades everything they supposedly are against.

A country composed of America's liberals would actually be the most segregated (ghetto cities vs gated rich enclaves, almost nothing in between) the most stark difference between haves vs have-nots, the most racially hostile place imaginable, the most dangerous from gun violence and every other type of crime, the most fiscally insane, full of people blaming every problem and issue on someone else... including (if not almost exclusively!) the conservatives who got the hell out and took a LOT of the actual 'know how' with them!

It'd be a funny, if not sad thing to watch, before the upwardly mobile liberals left in droves and once again polluted all the conservative areas, blaming the failure this time not on their policies... but once again, on conservatives. (YOUR FAULT all those inner cities, failing schools, no jobs, gun crime ridden shitholes!!!!)

There are some hypocrites on both sides of the spectrum for sure. We'll deal with ours.

You Trumpists will get your own lil-white country to deal with yours in. You won't have to deal with pesky things like any minimum wage laws, child labor laws, many if any brown people, etc...

Plenty of time to deal with your hypocrites. Plenty. Where do you live now? You may be in a future Blue States of American border. Start packing

Do you actually believe this bizarre rant? Psst: almost all of the most economically successful places in the country are highly liberal and they fiscally subsidize the conservative areas. Losing the subsidies from liberal areas would be devastating to conservatives.

I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few conservatives believe similar nonsense. It would be kind of amusing to see them celebrating how rich and prosperous they are going to be after they are rid of those liberal parasites only to realize those 'parasites' had been propping them up the whole time and now they were screwed because they aren't economically competitive.

ok motherfucker.

I wasn't calling you a motherfucker, it was more like a rhetorical motherfucker as the statement was very emphatic. Like 'check this out motherfuckers!'

I do agree people need to unify, but sometimes you gotta divide some first.

I like my example though!

Many of those places are exactly as charged- the most have vs. have-not places in the country.

You couldn't make it a single year when the conservative areas that know how to get fresh water, food and manufacture virtually everything you pretend you don't need, cut you off. You'd be whining at the gates of your inner city shithole in no time.

And actually, the most ironic and RICHLY DESERVED thing would be the eventual mobs of people blaming YOU for stealing all they haven't got, saying YOU have more than your 'fair share' as they burn you out of wherever you've tried to hide. Delicious and much deserved irony it would be.

Hahaha, are you saying that rural areas would attempt some sort of blockade of cities in order to spite them or something? What a weird revenge fantasy. (it would also be economic suicide for those conservative areas)

It's pretty amusing that it makes you so angry that the liberal areas of this country prop up the conservative ones. I know your ideology says those conservative areas should be the economic powerhouses but...well... reality begs to differ. If you look at the states least dependent on the federal government they are mostly blue ones and the ones who depend the most on the feds are the deep, deep red ones. You're just going to have to accept that conservatives in the US depend on the liberals they hate so much.

With great power comes great responsibility. Right now, the world prospers under Pax Americana; a service nicely provided by the US Navy. A divided America would create the largest political and military power vacuum this planet has ever seen. History has consistently shown us that power vacuums like that are about the most perfect storm for war, famine, and depopulation.

What I'm saying is, while you whites, blacks, lefts, rights, liberals, and conservatives are busy figuring our your first world problem of which brand of maple syrup tastes best on pancakes, there are 7.2+ billion other people on this planet who are directly affected by, and whose lives are dependent on, our ability to get along.

Are you one of the guys that looks at a nuclear missile and names it "peacekeeper"?

Yeah, right, like how can we continue to keep the Middle East stable by pumping billions of dollars of weapons into Israel and Saudi Arabia if we're worried about stupid shit like the worst healthcare system in the developed world, or an opioid epidemic that's killing more Americans every year than the Vietnam War.

Give it another 20 years, let the actuarial tables do its work on the Trump supporting old geezers, and let newer generations take a few hard knocks from conservatism and learn some important life lessons. Then we can discuss.

They can hang, or move! Down to the lily-white land of Trumpism.
That's it! Embrace that totalitarianism in you that's screaming to get out!

Will there be a First Amendment in your new utopia? Certainly there won't be a Second. You can rewrite the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, that's just a living document, right?

If you could come up with a viable plan to control the Trumpsters, you know really control them, would you consider keeping the nation together or would you still feel more comfortable with a split?

Nothing I said was totalitarian. I'm all for a 2nd amendment actually, just one a bit different than ours. One with serious gun control.

I don't want to control anyone, nor do I want 100% agreement in a nation. I just think that when such a high percentage become so delusional a society will become unworkable.

Let alone becoming 'cool', it'd be thinkable when the rabid Trump haters agree that borders matter. But if they did, they wouldn't be rabid Trump haters now, would they?

Why do you think Trump haters think borders "don't matter"? There are degrees of mattering.

Two Americas?
Remember all those who died to preserve one America.
And.... a house divided cannot stand.
Besides, republicans would JUST LOVE to see California jump ship.
Just imagine how convenient it would be for right winger conservatives if Sodom and Gomorrah i.e. CA jumped ship.
Just imagine the mass exodus to California from right wing idiocracy America.
Just imagine the loonies remaining in idiocracy America.
Global warming deniers, science deniers, anti-this, anti-that.
Yes, it would be a sad sad America occupying to the east, all white stupid and fat.

And just who do you think they would run to when their waters are filthy, their air unbreathable, their technology non existent, their politicians corrupt, their streets in rubble, their cities in shambles, and their jobs no where to be found?
CA would have no choice but to build that wall. The wall separating idiocracy America from the progressive America.

I would prefer to have no nuclear missiles at all, but they were built long before my time.

As for pumping billions into the Middle East, no thanks. I'm in agreement with you actually in that we need to address our healthcare system, infrastructure, and massive drug issues here back home. I watched someone I loved very dearly destroy themselves with painkillers. My last sentence in my previous post was directed to everyone here back home. We squabble over the dumbest things, and one of these days we're going to look back when our hindsight is 20/20 and realize when it was the best time to address these issues, we were arguing over who should have won Dancing With The Stars.

What good do threads like this do? Just inflames partisan hatred more. We can just distill the whole thread into "My color states are better than your color states" and be done with it.

That's how I was raised. It was an absolutely wonderful life that I plan on returning to.
How ya gonna keep um down on the farm after they seen Paris? You can't even get kids to read once the see TV. You'll go back once you don't have to make a living there, or like I do, looking at vacant land for sale on the internet. And, while you may not be so interested in where the closest school is, you may want to check the time for an ambulance ride to the nearest intensive care unit in case you fall off the porch. Oh, and don't forget about high speed internet.

I think it's pretty clear at this point that different regions of America want radically different governance models so why is it so bad to discuss it? Look at it this way: New York State highly values a woman's right to choose and it's something we will never compromise on. Louisiana highly values the pro-life position and will never compromise. If the red states made their own country it's highly likely abortion would be banned in no time, meaning your #1 electoral issue would be solved.

Louisiana would suffer a pretty severe economic contraction when they lost the fiscal assistance blue states give them but you would sincerely be able to protect millions of unborn children from being murdered. Maybe that's a trade worth making? New York keeps its money, you guys can protect life.

I have a better idea. Overturn Roe v. Wade and let New York permit abortion and Louisiana restrict it. Sound a little less troublesome than a civil war?
