Pretty sure there is a federal statute against booby trapping humans, and I believe the penalties can be stiff, like FPMITA stiff. ....if you know what I mean.

Found something:

http://definitions.uslegal.com/b/booby-traps/

b. booby-traps which are in any way attached to or associated with:

1. internationally recognized protective emblems, signs or signals;

2. sick, wounded or dead persons;

3. burial or cremation sites or graves;

4. medical facilities, medical equipment, medical supplies or medical transportation;

5. children's toys or other portable objects or products specially designed for the feeding, health, hygiene, clothing or education of children;

6. food or drink;

7. kitchen utensils or appliances except in military establishments, military locations or military supply depots;

8. objects clearly of a religious nature;

9. historic monuments, works of art or places or worship which constitute the cultural or spiritual heritage of peoples;

10. animals or their carcasses.

Trump sign applies to #8. supporting Trump is irrational by nature, so it is the same as religious belief and iconography. :sneaky:

Some states do allow booby trapping believe it or not. Texas I know for sure does permit it to some degree so long as you don't create substantial risk of causing death or serious injury. This instance seems to be more of an annoying deterrent than an actual trap.

Yep, shitty thing to do (although to a shitty person) but illegal depends on the state.

hahah, well deserved. I'd approve of a much more painful deterrent as well, but that might get the homeowner in trouble with the law.

Yeah, I notice the bit about Texas. I mean, not shocking of course. But it is still illegal in all states to booby trap with lethal intent. I wonder how effectively it could be argued that a mild shock like that could still be potentially lethal if the victim had a heart condition/pace maker? In such a case, I'd expect the trapper to be held liable for such a death, but I wonder if there is any ground to challenge them on the potential of causing mortal harm.

The first thing that came to mind with the OP was the thread x years ago where AMDHunter expressed a profound desire to hide HIV needles or something behind car sideview mirrors because punks were running around at night grabbing the mirrors off of parked cars. There was a lot of legalese tossed around in that thread.

It's a very common thing, another example of the "tolerant" left feeling theft, vandalism and sometimes even violence are perfectly justified to make sure a political position they disagree with is silenced.

We like to insure you really get to feel the victimhood you talk about so much.

Oh yes, we all know how kind and benevolent rightwingers are. Just look at a Trump rally and watch for them to assault someone.

Seems pointless, given that the dude installed the camera and the cops used that to charge him for trespassing.

?? Do what now?

The best justice isn't his getting a mild shock or charged with trespassing...

It's being shown as a total idiot all over the internet!

If theft for political gain is a wholly owned characteristic of the left why is it virtually every time music is stolen and used in political campaigns it is the right? Artists have to make statements telling them to stop.

I also found it interesting the Google is censoring searches, and are very biased to the point I have stopped using Google search engine.

On both Google and Bing I searched for "trump sign stolen" and "hillary sign stolen"
Google trump = 6,490,000 results
Google hillary = 21,200,000 results

Bing trump = 44,700,000 results - 320% difference - clear bias on the part of Google
Bing hillary = 20,900,000 results - 1.4% difference - virtually no difference

Only this is conjecture unless you dig up real, meaningful evidence of rigging (not just raw search numbers). Bing and Google have different search algorithms that prioritize different kinds of content. Look for "zebra stripes," for example, and you get significantly different result ordering on both sites.

Oh, and need I remind you that Clinton has a much more extensive political career that would lead to more search hits, and that both "Hillary" and "trump" are generic words that could produce completely irrelevant results (even with "sign stolen" thrown in)? Look, I know you want to maintain the idea that tech companies are hatching a sinister plot to demonize Trump, but let it go... if you take a serious look at the data, it's not really supportive of that claim.

Try googling "trump sign stolen", and "hillary sign stolen" in actual quotes, champ.

Then tell me the numerical results and the obvious GoogleClintonBias™.

Thanks in advance!

Steeplerot used to brag about stealing political signs and car magnets all the time. Hasn't been around for quite a while now I think. Must have set off a land mine.

He was a big fan of Chavez, too, which probably goes a long way toward explaining his absence. STILL trying to wipe all the egg off his face, I imagine.
