If you're going to RAID, you want NAS drives. In this case WD Red. Those drives support TLER. Plus they're meant got all day operation, low heat, and low power.

I know this has been beat to death but, if you are using software RAID, I'm not so sure TLER is a big deal. Hardware RAID is a different story.
But the Reds do carry a longer warranty which makes them attractive if you can find them for close to the same price as other drives.
