when will a new Nvidia card be out

Allright looks like my ol Geforce 256 SDR is going out on me and I will be upgrading soon, when is Nvidia coming out with a new card any idea of if it will only be the geforce 3 ultra or somthing new and improved? If not should I wait until they come out with Geforce 4 or somthing lol

The MX3 chips have been fabricating for a while, the MX3 boards should be out any time now.

Heard that the GF3 MX is gonna be about $199, same price as the Radeon 7500.  I guess that it has 175 Core/200 DDR Memory, 64mb, lightspeed(bandwidth saving), etc.  However, I'm not sure it has everything thing that the GF3, Ultra, Pro has since it still is a budget card.

Im wondering what it will be like cause if its cheap but isnt as crappy as the 2MX is compared to pro and GTS I will get one I dunno need some benchies but no one has it yet

I`d go for a decent 64mb Geforce2 pro over the geforce3mx. It`ll be cheaper and be able to use its 4 texture pipelines unlike the geforce3 mx which will only have 2.

Just like the geforce1 DDR being alot faster than the geforce2MX the geforce3mx will be slower than a geforce2. I think they only bring out MX`s so OEMs can put "geforce2 or geforce3 graphics" on adverts to con new pc users into thinking they`re getting top rate gaming pc`s when in actuallity they`re getting a second rate card in their pc.

The reason that the MX was slower then the Geforce 1 DDR was purely because of bandwidth. The MX is already incredibly limited by memory bandwidth so adding more pipes or TU's won't make any difference. Geforce 1 DDR had 4.8gb memory bandwidth while the MX had only 2.8gb memory bandwidth. However the new Geforce 3 MX has ram equally fast as the Geforce 2 GTS (200mhz DDR for 6.4gb mem bandwidth). So looking at the Geforce 3 MX and Geforce 2 GTS were it really counts (mem bandwidth not theoretical fillrate) they should be equally fast. If the Geforce 3 MX has crossbar mem it should be considerably faster then the GTS, more like in between Geforce 2 Pro and Geforce 2 Ultra speeds. To see this you only have to look at Geforce 3, it actually has less pure bandwidth then the Geforce 2 Ultra yet at high res the Geforce 3 is considerably faster because of the crossbar memory architecture.
