Suspicious? The reason for this post is more than "suspicion".
The thread starter is one of the "gang" of posters from a certain forum, who have taken upon themselves (with backing from certain posters at that forum who in fact work for or with ATI) to go forth thruout the web and rip any and all NV products and any tech site that doesn't print they percieve to be the truth will in turn get ripped.
Ya there will be all kinds of denials to this but I read at least 5 of the top forums (including that one) and newsgroups daily and have been watching this "drama" unfold for months.
To wit: anything NV, whether hardware or drivers s**ks, any1 who likes or wants to buy NV is a fool,
any HW sites who find that the NV offering is somehow "better" than the ATI offering are "on the take", " lousy benchmarking practices", "without ethics", etc
And for any1 who has a problem(s) running any ATI card/drivers combo, it's either a PBKAC, bad power supply, bad mainboard, bad OS, bad DX, bad coding, and on and on but never the videocard or drivers that don't work!
It's been day after day, month after month, here and everywhere else, it's just never ends. What they don't realize is that approx 85% of the people who buy hardware don't see the propaganda and that NV is still outselling ATI by a wide margin in spite of this "campaign".
You watch, if it hasn't already started - there will be a steady rise in anti-Anandtech posts by these people unless he does change his review. They're doing it to Hocp and now even Futuremark is suddenly s**k because they refuse to say NV "cheated" but the Inquirer, ET and B3D are rightgeous because those site see the evil that is NV!
As I said anyone or site or company who disagrees that ATI is the "king" of all things video will feel the rath of these people-it's a real riot
