I've never touched one in my life personally, maybe when they go there.
I've been using Caviar Blacks for HHD's most the time myself, have 4 X 1TB RE3's been spinning years on a Areca 1210.
I'm a WD fanboi obviously but have started using SSDs more lately, but personally I'd never use a green to begin with unless on a HTPC or something.
As a side note: Are you sure you don't want the WD Black version for the 2.5x longer warranty?
I'm just trying to spread the word - had a WD black go dead on me within warranty, I paid $12 to get it shipped out after printing the RMA paperwork, and I received a working one a week later.
I've had 2 x WD Green 2TB Drives fail on me this year, both just outside of there warranty period.
Bad luck, really. First mechanical drives I've had fail since a 30GB Fujitsu drive.
