RS, sounds like you may have recognized yourself in something I said. It's funny that the "why" doesn't seem to be a factor to some of these same people when it comes Fury not having an 8GB option. Where oh where did that goal post go?

I have not read the article, but by going what you posted i am in agreement with [H]. While you might get away with 4GB, once you start to turn up settings that will go away pretty fast.

I will also say, that 4 is not enough for 4K, but at the same time by the time you push the settings high enough to use the memory you will be looking at multi card setups. And Nvidia has the upper hand with it's am mount of memory for the high end chips.

Then you should read the article. And read my linked post where I take their own data to show how wrong they are to conclude 6GB is minimum.

If you don't read it, ofc, what they say makes "sense".. until you see their data.

ps. Multi-GPU may need more than 4GB vram to max 4K, sure, but not 2 GPUs and certainly not 1.

Well shoot, that's it then. Nothing we can do. Fury X is a fantastic card, it deserves all of our support, tremendous value for anyone with a display port on their monitor. Bad mistake about HDMI 2.0, hopefully corrected at some point early next year.

AMD simply cannot do anything because they only have 20% DGPU market share and they are not in a position to dedicate their terms and even if they did than Fury X will be confirmed as fail product launch.So that is what happens when a company have low investment and low customers.

MOST other sites are not hypocrites and unbiased.

Certainly the great ones where we all reference: TPU, Guru3d, Computerbase.de, Hardware.fr, Sweclockers, AnandTech etc are excellent and have always been professional.

Btw, Guru3d complaint they didn't get an invite to NV's conferences and paid trips because they were one of the few to keep on using FCAT during the 970/980 release showing poor SLI stutters. They aren't hypocrites, they keep on using the tool good or bad.

That's exactly what I'm implying. Nvidia lies all the time. They get caught. Yet, their PR team is so good, and their fan base so loyal, they're able to spin it in a way where they'll benefit from it.

I don't know if you remember; but, during the GTX 970 memory fiasco, some people were so upset that they returned the card.......Only to spend even more money on a GTX 980. LOL. That's how Nvidia roll. They're on a whole new level of marketing/PR.

Having said that, I am against cherry picking reviewers. I do, however, understands that this is the nature of the industry. Just don't do it so poorly that it backfires.. AMD, get it together!!
