Do you use simple words, or do you talk like a nerd (use big words, talking in a more scientific fashion, comfusing the crap out of individuals who didn't go to college)?

you might have a point. so you say "fvck" to draw attention to yourself?

I'm sure most people who use big words, do so because it's a part of their normal vocabulary. I don't know anyone who purposely uses obscure words just to piss others off.

last i checked, you did not have to be qualfied as a nerd to be here.

Do remember nerds have no social lives. how true is that for the entire ATOT population?

You've reversed the cause and effect - being here qualifies you as a nerd. If you were not a nerd before, you became a nerd the moment you registered your account.

Many nerds, myself included, have extremely active social lives. That means nothing.

I have quite an extensive vocabulary, but it seems that whenever I need to call a particular word into play, in mid sentence I'll get a brain fart and can't think of the word I need. I hate it and don't know what causes me not to be able to recall words I know the definitions for and have for years. It really is quite annoying. Also, it makes me look and feel foolish.

A girl at the beach that I had never met before predicted (quite accurately) that I was a computer science major because of the way I spoke. I still can't decide if that's a good thing or not.

I try to say fvck as much as possible. At least twice per sentence. Like, "Aw fvck, I forgot to go to the fvcking store."

I can change my style a lot... When im with friends i curse like a sailor, and with more intelligent groups of friends i throw in a few big words.

But when it comes down to business, I can speak very well, distinguished and elegant. Now go fvck yourself.

Many nerds, myself included, have extremely active social lives. That means nothing.

firstly, saying ATOT population indicates we live here which could be considered nerdy...heh...

secondly, yep, nerds have social lives, they socialise with nerds.....but then most people will tend to socialise with people they get on better with, so artist types hang around with artists, theatre luvvies with theatre luvvies, sports nuts with sports nuts......this isnt a hard and fast rule btw before someone pounces on it, but i would say its a fairly good guideline......

in fact everyone is nerdy, people in to sports too much are sports nerds, people in to art too much are arty-farties (as my nan used to say...heh)....and each group considers another group to be the nerds, without realising that they too are nerds, but from a general consensus people assume nerd applies to people in to technology....

and a prize of free membership to a nerdy club for the nerd who tells me how many times I said 'nerd' in this post (from where my typing began to where it ends)
