By not doing it because alcohol is a waste of time and money.
By not doing it because alcohol is a waste of time and money.
Buddies and I would all have LAN parties at one of our houses, of course because of the amount of stuff we had to bring, it was extremely easy to carry cases of beer, or bottles into the house and then we would set up, get the games set up and start drinking... Because we were just playing computer games, our parents never really checked on us or worried... but BOY were we drinking...
I never consumed alcohol. I don't plan on it in the future either.
Most of my peers are 21+ anyway... So, they didn't need to hide it.
Couple of questions.
1) "Even in the states you can drink anywhere it's legal for a 21yo to drink at any age" What the fuck does that mean
2) "cannot be compensated" Why is anyone ever compensated for drinking?
3) No charges for drinking in your own home in the UK (as long as your over 2) You can buy alcohol with a meal from 14 and in a pub / bar at 18.
1) It means that there are some places that even a 21yo can't drink. Open container in a car, parking lot or sidewalk near the point of sale (package/liquor or convenience store), public drinking (some places), etc.
2) You paying someone "of age" to buy it for you is compensating them for buying it. In that case, the person buying it would be breaking the law. Giving them something else or trading is also "compensation." They have to buy it for the younger person without expecting pay or compensation like you would buy a date a meal or your children, well, everything.
3) There is no law against anyone of any age drinking in their own home in the USA either. It doesn't have to be their own home either but, like I said, it has to be some place where drinking is allowed for 21yo people as well. The only consistent laws regarding the legal drinking age in the USA are actually the legal purchasing and sales age. There may be some Hicksville law that goes too far but it would be over-reaching and easily defeated should it ever be challenged by a higher court. A parent can give wine to their child. A religions can share a wine-drinking ritual with a child. A random adult giving some other child alcohol without that child's parents consenting risks application of a vague law like "contributing to the delinquency of a minor" and not much else. The major concern is being a conduit for illegal underage sales.
I'm having a little trouble understanding you too: As long as my over 2 what?
You said it's legal for a 21 year old to drink at any age. 21 year olds can't be any age, they are 21.
He meant you can drink at any age, as long as it is legal for someone of age (21) to drink there.
So anyone can drink anywhere except in places people can't drink...
With stipulations yes (the contributing to delinquency of a minor law) etc. As long as the minor is not purchasing the alcohol its usually overlooked.
Vodka put into water bottles. Whiskey mixed into coke bottles. High school... those were the days. First started doing that when I was a freshman. I have no idea how I used to drink vodka straight like that LoL.
No. Unlike a minor or even a 20yo, a 21yo can legally buy and drink alcohol, but they can't *drink it legally* just anywhere. For example, there are signs posted at convenience stores that say that you can't open an alcoholic container on the premesis by order of law, so even a 21yo can't drink there. There are laws that say that you can't have an open container inside a motor vehicle (you can only transport canned/bottled alcohol), so a 21yo can't drink there either. All I'm saying is that a 21yo can legally buy a 5yo an alcoholic beverage and that 5yo can legally drink it but the 5yo can't legally drink it anywhere just like the 21yo can't even though the 21yo has no more restrictions than a 100+yo. Simple. It's legal to drink at any age, it's only legal to buy at 21 or higher. You said it's legal for a 21 year old to drink at any age. 21 year olds can't be any age, they are 21.1) It means that there are some places that even a 21yo can't drink. Open container in a car, parking lot or sidewalk near the point of sale (package/liquor or convenience store), public drinking (some places), etc.
your!=you're"As long as my over 2 what" Is not something I've ever said.
Wow so in america I could take a 15 year old to a club and get them smashed as long as they don't pay for drinks?!
