I'll try those tonight. I didn't realize there was a free version of Everest.I've had good luck with PCWizard2007 and the free version of Everest 2.0.
Also, I went on the Speedfan bug tracking page and found that a number of other people are having the same high 1.35 million RPM problem as I am. Some have ASUS boards. Some have Gigabyte boards. I added my problem plus configuration to the bug's comments.
