Where buy Windows XP legitimate ver cheapest

It seems that OEM versions can only EVER be installed on one computer, is that true? I want to buy a legitimate version that I can install on my current computer, and on a future computer I plan to build a year from now. Where and how is the least expensive place to buy it ? Honestly, Ive run a cracked corporate version for a little while, but Im tired of being the bad guy and I want to buy a legitimate version but its so expensive. Any ideas? Thanks.

1. You can move it to your new PC, as long as you wipe your old PC. You are "upgrading" every piece is all......


2. If it's "soo expensive" then how can you afford a new computer? I think home can be had for sub 100 for OEM.

I think you can purchase CD keys from MS for cheaper than an OEM package.

Thanks for idea's. I have seen OEM versions for under 100 USD, but was unsure if I could take it to a different PC when/if I build one. I know Im wrong for running the version I have, thats why Im going straight and buying it. I didnt have any money before, now I have some, thats why I can buy Windows and build a PC in a year. Notice Im buying Windows first, then a new PC, not the other way around. I heard Microsoft was doing a thing for people who had the cracked version and wanted to pay for it, they wouldnt give you any trouble if you payed for it, any info on that? Thanks all.
