Where can I get a decent 939 PCI-e mobo?

So, I'm thinking about doing a GPU upgrade, and since my Neo3 is an AGP board, that pretty much means a mobo change. Unfortunately, most of the mobos I can still find are from foxcon or ECS - not exactly super reputable companies.

Unfortunately, even finding one by a higher tier manufacturer is proving problematic. Are any of the still available boards reasonably capable of hitting 250fsb to let me keep my overclock? If not, where's a good place to find a decent board?

Please don't recommend upgrading to another socket - my opteron isn't that long in the tooth, and I don't want to spend extra for a new processor and ram.

You think we are privy to some top secret reseller who still has access to motherboards that nobody else has? If you've looked and found nothing, there's your answer.

*chuckle* No, at least probably not, but I was thinking perhaps someone has used the mobo's still available and might at least be able to point me towards the one that was best, or the least disagreeable.

DFI has the best reputation for S939 motherboards. I have been able to get an ASUS A8N-E, without SLI, to reach 290MHz stable. I would expect any of the S939 motherboards to easily reach 250MHz.

Have you checked the FS/FT forum? I just bought a Nvidia 6150 board from there.

Etech4sale.com has 2 pages of 939 listings, including the msi neo4-f for around $70.

Whatever you buy make sure that it has the nf4ultra chipset. I just swapped the s939 mb in my parents pc with a bfg nf4ultra and apart from the quirky jumpers on the mb it is working just fine. I got it from compusa and they have a few more online the last time I checked. I was able to get them from one of the local stores. You are running out of time to get a new s939 mb as the supply is almost dried up. I got lucky with the local stores having a decent mb. They have several msi k8n neo4-f's but the one that I got couldn't maintain contact with the drives and I could never install windows so I took it back and got the bfg. If you can find a neo4-platinum they are a feature rich mb and I've got one on another machine.

Edited for spelling.

always check NewEgg for open-box S939 boards. They had a bunch over the last few weeks but they all sold out within a short time. Seems demand is high and supply is low.
I got a Biostar NF4 board from NewEgg, and a DFI NF4 board off of ebay.

Agreed, get a second hand one. I'm quite possibly selling my abit AT8 soon, I guess you should get a well proven board pretty cheap.

You may want to take a look at the EPOX 9NPA+ Ultra
Pretty decent overclocker, and should hit 250 FSB pretty easily

Watch the AT Hot Deals forum for DFI LanParty nForce4 mobos.
You should eventually find some good buys as these excellent-overclocking S939 mobos are phased out of sellers' inventories.
