You mean a dvi to vga dongle?
I got this same board for my wife, so I'm not sure what you mean by DVI out.
I thought the 6150 chipset allowed a header on the mobo that would allow a DVI to monitor connection. I don't know the name of the part but I think I've read where with that chipset one could connect 2 monitors at the same time, one being vga and the other being dvi.
I see no indication of that on the manufacturer's site, and the board has no headers with nearly enough pins to handle a DVI-D signal.
hell cares, if he doesn't wanna try it out with a few dollars for a dongle, he can just suck it up by not getting a display that requires a DVI connection. As simple as that. Otehrwise, if you are that inclined, a 25 dollar PCI/PCI-e video card isn't going to hurt.
Integrated graphics were never that great. However it did allow me to play Warcraft III at max settings, using a P4 2.53 GHz Northwood on an Intel Extreme graphics solution, 1024x768, isn't that something...? It's great, fine, but it's not the greatest?
