Where can I get a sword?

If you're in the US, they're perfectly legal. There are certain things you've got to do to carry them around, but you can have them in your house with no trouble.

I've got a set of three Katanas. They're awesome. Red, black, and gold color scheme. I love them.

440 surgical stainless steel. Razor sharp. Authentically weighted, too.

I've been doing fully armoured swordfighting for over a decade.

My knight made me my sword (back when I was his squire, I'm a knight myself now).

Damn man that is just awesome. Being able to legitimately say that you are a knight.

All this sword talk is making me want to play some Diablo II !!

If there is a weapon I wanted to learn how to use it would be a Pike or Trident (a la Amazon in D2)!

I am a knight in the context of the SCA. That and about $3 will get me a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

It is cool, and the title carries a fairly large amount of respect within the club. It means a great deal to me becuase of the years' of hard work I put into swordfighting (one part of the rank is sort of a blackbelt in the full contact martial art of swordfighting). Another big thing for me was that I always wanted to be a knight (the romantic view, not the historical truth) so it is a dream come true in some ways.

Where the hell do you get your information??? Starfire Swords have always been (20 years in biz now) made of high carbon steel, and ARE tempered blades. (Full info is available on their web site, I believe, otherwise stop by one of their booths at faires...)

I know, I own several of their blades and do a LOT of stage fighting and sparring.

dude, if you need one really bad, you can go to a renassance festival and get really nice swords there...
