last night, i was trying to upgrade to a nightly rom build so i opened up my sensation to take my memory card out. push in, and *ping* is all i hear. then i noticed the sd card was gone. dark room. didnt hear it hit anything so i figured it was on the carpet, but no luck. i have flung sd card across the room this way before, so it could be anywhere.

even the next day now and i cant find it. 32gb sandisk card. so sad. im afraid to vacuum.

Put pantyhose over the end of the vacuum tube(don't use spinning brushes), and start vacuuming. Don't forget to check the furniture, and things like pockets and pants cuffs.

that is one of the reasons i hate micro SD. i have a bunch of them and have lost 2-3 of them this year.

I've got Micro SD cards in both my Nook and my Sansa MP3 player and am afraid to ever remove them. Dropped one once on a dark carpet and it was a bitch finding it.

ok, so i replicated the traumatic event by taking a different micro sd card and trying to shoot it. its a 1gb compared to a 32gb and the brands are different, so the weights might be off but the results are frustrating.

holding the phone the exact way i was last night, i pushed the card in and let it fling out. it landed halfway across the room as i expected, all three times. in fact, everywhere it landed i had already searched feverishly.

and it wasnt stuck to my body like pennies after sex either. i need to think outside the box now...

ive been shaking any clothes that were within sight of the crime scene, looking behind my computers on the floor in case it rolled back there, under the bed, looked to see if it stuck to the phone case inside and out, and laptop, mouse, bong, computer desk, laundry basket, bathroom in case it stuck to my foot and traveled.... its just gone.

i just want a cheap RFID tagging system. place tiny stickers where you want, and write down what ID they are set to. then, when you lose something, walk around the house with your ghost finder and it could help a lot...

Reminds me of the reason I put raised edges on my work bench. A thirty dollar piece of black plastic half the size of a postage stamp! I vote for neon green, I can pick out something tiny that color very easily.
