Where do you buy your stuff?

Hey. Does everyone usually buy from Newegg, or is there some site where I won't be charged tax? I think mwave had CA tax too. Any site where I won't get charged tax, or is it unavoidable?

PS: I know usually you should try to pick something up at Fry's or another local store to save shipping costs, but sometimes they you can't find what you need.

edit1: Well Newegg, mwave, zipzoomfly are all in California, but tigerdirect isn't so they don't charge sales tax.

I usually just go pick it up at mwave, because I'm right by it...for 5$ fee though.

Monarch Computers doesn't charge tax either.

i usually order newegg and just take the tax, or monarch because of no tax. WHere is mwave located?

It says Walnut, CA on their website. Looks like that's a bit east of LA.

Tiger Direct. No tax in CA. I bought my 7950 for $616 Shipped and saved a boatload in tax

They took forever to ship my stuff though. Tt took several days before they got my order in the mail. I had to call and hassle them... asked y they had not shipped my order. Then it was shipped. And I am only 30 min away. I could have will-called and it would have been faster.

TigerDirect is in Florida. ZZZ, NewEgg are in California. So is MWave.

One ofthese days sales tax will be charged everywhere.

When that happens, local stores will be competitive when you factor in shipping.

i think mwave and newegg are pretty close together...about 30 minutes east of LA
