I mean in the U.S, college students can qualify for food stamps if hey work 20 hours a week. I don't get why they would have to resort to eating ramen.
Its just carbohydrates and salt so if you just eat that it would be pretty bad for you fairly quickly. If you have a fast metabolism and don't worry about getting fat, would ramen actually be alright to eat everyday? Any health problems if you drink a lot of water?

Why do you ask so many stupid questions?
All questions you could google. And how many of your friends who work 20 hrs are on food stamps? I'm guessing none. And how many students actually work 20 hrs a week? Not many.
Can't read the ingredients on a ramen package? How much sodium? How much sodium should you have a day? How much nutrition is there?
They're also a lot tastier than boiled or baked potatoes.

Average price across the US seems to be well over double that, $3.30. Here on the Gulf Coast it is about $3.75 as far as I can remember. One gallon of milk from Walmart is just $1.50.
Odd, I got the value fat free galleon that costs just over one buck I recalled.Average price across the US seems to be well over double that, $3.30. Here on the Gulf Coast it is about $3.75 as far as I can remember.
I am working 24 hours a week while attending college and 74 hours a week while on winter break right now. Having upper middle income class parents that pay for all your stuff is not a luxury many undergraduate students have. Why do you ask so many stupid questions?

How lazy can you be???For when you wake up hungry in the middle of the night, want something inexpensive and quick, and you don't want to go all the way downstairs to the kitchen.
I think you're about a decade younger than me but when I was in college (late 80s), they routinely went on sale at Publix at 10 for $1. My roommates would get 50 packs at a time but I was more of a mac and cheese guy (4 for $1 for the store brand plus margarine and sometimes milk). I had a fryer too and we'd grate up a 10 pound bag of potatoes into latkes on Sunday mornings and half our dorm floor would come eat with us.Because they used to cost $.23 a pack
