I have a logitech mx1000 blutooth mouse, a couple of years ago my keyboard suffered wife agro induced death

so i got a cheap no name full size bluetooth keybaord to replace it, this worked fine with the mx1000 mouse and i was happy.

Now the cheap keybaord died a similar unnatural death.

No biggie i thought il juss grab a new bluetooth keyboard.

Now all i can find is slim small tablet crap or overpriced bluetooth mobile keyboards with crappy layouts smaller keys and no numpad.

Damn this new propriety crap that locks you into one brands overpriced crap.

Now i do get 2.4Ghz is more reliable less batt use etc, but i didnt have a problem with my bluetooth mouse and keyboard the bluetooth dongle would drop out once a month at most for like 8 seconds, batterys would last upwards of 3months on my budget keybaords

the main reason this pisses me off is i have my desktop comp located 20m away from my monitor and have only 1 usb avaliable to me at the monitor (via rj45 usb extension), i cant plug in a hub as it will dc constantly every 1-2mins for 30 or seconds.

I like my mouse and dont want to replace it, does anyone know where a normal bluetooth keybaord (fullsize, wrist support & rasied) can be found new?

Or else im going to have to go 2nd hand which still isnt easy.

The keyboards that came with the MX1000 mouse, Logitech MX5000 and MX5500, are still available on Ebay

a cheap mx5000 (sub $50 NZ) came up on my local auction site yesterday, snaped her up. Now I get a psare mouse and charger aswell . I remeber the keyboard was a bit of a batt drainer compared to the generic bluetooth one i just had but hey i dont care.

yea most of those other keybaords avaliable dont have legs or a numpad and are slim, designed for tablets, phones etc

heaps of mini, foldable, ultraslim, compact etc

I could of lived with a logitech k750 the solar charging would of made up for being flat (no stand legs) and thin, but no bluetooth

the k810 is overpriced (screw you phones and tablets), more than i need and doesnt have legs or a numpad
