Stealing....? You mean #Winning? You mean #TigerBlood

You can keep mentioning one-off scum all you want, it doesn't hold a candle to the amount of #Winning

Keep crying, maybe some day those tears will turn into people turning out to vote. Who am I kidding, your voters have TV shows to watch and TV dinners to eat - no time for that stupid stuff.

lol.

Funny thing happened this past November when voters beat House Republicans bloody in spite of the great effort to manipulate the vote. No wonder Mitch wants to make voting harder because having that right AND being able to use it is a threat against Republicans. In a truly fair election he'd be shown the door and it might hit him in the ass on his way out, along with most of the Senate.

I don't like one party rule, but fixing elections even less. If the Dems do a sweep in 2020 or come close to it, blame Trump, Mitch and Nunes among many others.

Winning? How about stealing elections.

Did you forget what happened in North Carolina, Georgia and gerry mandering and voter suppression?

Only a brainwashed person like you would call it winning.
TBH I've totally lost faith in the USA. Completely. Could it be restored? Absolutely! But I have no such expectation. Might Trump win in 2020? I wouldn't say no after what happened in 2016. And even with the buttload of damning info we're getting about Trump and his hirelings I feel like I can't assume Trump's not going to be reelected... no matter how bad it gets. That's how much faith I have in America to do the right thing. IOW, none. I hope that changes.

Yeah we were stupid enough to re-elect Bush who started a war for nothing.. though I blamed it on Florida mostly. But Trump is not just Florida.. Trump is a cancer that has to be either completely removed or it is metastasizing into terminal. Even if you do win, there's always a danger of it coming back.

Busy? Nah, not so much more than usual. It just got to be an absolute sewer of hate in here and I no longer wished to be exposed to such concentrated vitriol. I just stop by every few months to see how Jean is doing and I stuck my head in for old times' sake, maybe see if the Mueller Report changed any minds. Still a sewer of Trump Derangement Syndrome, unfortunately.

Y'all take care and don't do anything criminal or blow an artery.

Where have our Conservative members gone?

Another way of looking at this is... P&N is an unattended garden. Weeds were allowed to grow, and now we are (largely) all that remain.

It is a natural human tendency to avoid confrontation. Sure, there are plenty of times where we don't... but I might describe those moments as failures. Success would then be defined by normalcy. In achieving a calmer environment. Less stress, less energy consumed. And what could be more tranquil than the sound of your own voice? Or rather... others who sound like you.

So achieving a state of contrasting and equal representation in any given space is not a realistic expectation. It is a struggle against our desire for a single state. E Pluribus Unum. Out of many, one. And without constant pressure to maintain a dual state, P&N eroded over time into a single state. As all things do? We never really stood a chance at waging a battle against entropy. People simply migrate to where there is comfort food. If only IRL was so blissful.

It's almost comical and also VERY predictable of this place that Barr's replies would get some sock puppets dusted off to come back and gloat.

About what exactly? It's not terribly clear other than the extra Vodka in their paycheck has fueled some false and temporary bravado that has spilled out here...

Same 2 or 3 holdouts running 10+ socks here.

Still waiting for the tag team of LegendKiller and SpeedDemon to be resurrected... those are being saved for closer to 2020...

Same here. I'll drift off sooner rather than later and will post cheery and happy posts if allowed. Probably around Nov. 4th 2020.

Guess it’s just not as much fun to be here when it’s your guy in office. Something tells me you will actually be back after Jan 2021 for a good 8 years.

Need some more intellectually dishonest friends to hang with? Werepossum while polite basically made up his own facts constantly and consistently.

Accurate.

More polite and humorous than the likes of say PokerGuy, matt1970, michael1980, Gryz, and others, but just as likely to cherrypick details and cling to talking points IMO. Similar to Whoozeyerdaddy or Boberfett. I'm sure the search function can help out those who doubt.

The Barack Hussein Obama years were very hard for some posters, but I think we're seeing 1 out of 18 investigations being completed rejuvenate their spirits. Some might return. Some already have alts.

con·serv·a·tive
/kənˈsərvədiv/
adjective
adjective: conservative
  1. 1.
holding to traditional attitudes and values and cautious about change or innovation, typically in relation to politics or religion.
Just looked it up because I continue to wonder where in hell or god's earth did anyone much less a sea of citizens get the idea that it's OK to be a conservative. In a world where change is inevitable, where it's accelerating exponentially, a refusal to change, an overabundance of caution about change or innovation is toxic. Look at your bible if you must at the story of Sodom and Gomorrah where those hoping to survive the blasphemy, the depravity of those two cities were led away to a better future and told not to look back, that if they did they would turn to pillars of salt. Take heed you "conservatives" because a similar fate awaits you if you look back. "Don't stand in the doorway, don't lock up the halls, the times they are achangin'."

There's no question, Russians were giddy that Trump won. Trump likes nothing more than hobnobbing with dictators. He gets off on having his ego stroked. His dick too, evidently. He gets a lot of flack, and he certainly deserves it. I hope that flack takes him down sooner than later.

The whole thing stinks to high heaven. There's a dead fish in there. History will look back on this as a highly shameful chapter in American history, starting when DJT threw his wealthy-man's hat into the ring.

Funny that's what the Trump shutdown did and you saw what happened to his ratings.

Hehehehehehe, this thread cracks me up. When I first started posting here this place was a conservative haven and I got tons of what conservatives are facing here today. But because the only thing that really mattered to me was to speak my truth for those who could hear, the deaf never really bothered me and still don't. But then I have faith in the truth and don't see people as evil, just less fortunate in their lives with the kinds of personal tragedy that can break the deepest programming. Every bigot can awaken to love if there is some circumstance that happens where he or she falls in love by some chance event, with the other, who was previously held in contempt.

A dog is man't best friend because he it is a lover that can't be negatively programmed to determine a human's value on any basis other than actions. This is why a dog can be far more advanced spiritually than many people. He can see god within us. What a real pity that so many of us can't.

I think what we can see is that while ridicule can shut people up by reminding them of their shame, it only drives the hatred behind it underground where it festers awaiting the day when it becomes culturally accepted again.

Trump is not a good president but what if just about 25% of all the hours the media spent on detailing every tiny move by the Mueller report was spent explainingTrump's participation in Fraud (even while President), his emoluments violations (pertaining to countries including Russia...) and other crimes?

We'd have a populace more aware of all the shenanigans that Trump has tried to pull off and more people would be against Trump in 2020...
but now since the media in some cases has apparently focused on collusion/conspiracy to the near exclusion of Trump's other real crimes many voters only know that Mueller didn't find collusion...

Instead what they should know and be aware of is that Trump is guilty of emoluments violations and participating in campaign finance fraud whilst in office.

So think about it. Maddow didn't really do us any favors.

It is. What do you think suburbs are?

That's true, self segregation is essentially what I spoke of. This is the online variant of it.
But life still forces us to cross paths with "others". Internet locales can be much more... selective. Even if not by design, and merely by user choice.

I think what we can see is that while ridicule can shut people up by reminding them of their shame, it only drives the hatred behind it underground where it festers awaiting the day when it becomes culturally accepted again.

Republican ideas are always culturally accepted in their corner of the internet.

Where did they go? Straight into Denial of what they've done in electing the world's greatest charlatan to be President. And he still has a lot of them totally bamboozled.

The sad truth of it all is like this-

They knew he was crooked when they voted for him.
