Anandtech is hardly a PC site anymore. They are more busy on the new iPod colour options and stuff like that than of something like this.
Change with the times, or die...I guess.
One angle is that there just isn't that much interesting coming out in PC land these days. AT still covers the salient bits of that, anyway.
Another angle is that who wants to cover the same type of motherboard 900 times? Same for power supplies, computer chassis, video cards. I'd have slit my wrists years ago if I'd been running a tech site as long as Anand has and still only covering USB ports and motherboard standoffs.
Hell, out of my ever-shrinking list of hardware sites, all of them have scaled back their hardware coverage save for one (TPU). Most of what's left have become nothing much more than RSS feeds for various manufacturers.
It seems, then, that the pc parts coverage industry as a whole has gotten rather stale.
