I see the Moto X 2014 now. So I think it will take a could more days for the iPhone 6/Plus to be release here?
Anyone know when it will be?
Anyone know when it will be?
Fix your title!
Now, there will be plenty of people who will pass on the iPhone: people who have no Cingular service where they live (that’s the exclusive carrier); who are disappointed that, as a GSM phone, the cellular Internet service is slow; who find the iPhone too big (though incredibly tiny for what it does, it’s big for a phone); who would prefer typing e-mail with a dedicated thumb keyboard than hunting and pecking with one finger on the iPhone’s on-screen keys; and who consider $500 too much for a phone.
Unfortunately with the iPhone 6 Plus, it's hard to operate the phone one handed and reach the top of the phone.
no anand no more early access to phones?
Sorry, I have not found a way to edit the title! I should of used "when" instead of "where". LOL!
If you know how to edit the title; please let me know! LOL!
The 5s review was pretty meh. Anand was clearly doing it while traveling and he shot photos on a plane to show us. The review was clearly a step below that of the 5 review.I bet that is something Anand and Brian Klug will not miss, questions like is it out yet?
Last year about this time they were doing baytrail, apples a7, iOS 7, lg g2, moto x, iPhone 5s, 5c, Asus t100, nexus 7 2013, Samsung 840 evo, Asus HD memo 7, Chromecast, nvidia shield controller, ivy-e, surface pro 2, surface 2, iMac new model, note 4, previewing galaxy gear, benchmark gate, amd-mantle all with about 60 days by only 2 people. Other people did other articles but my impressions these two were the most prolific in the number of reviews. They also went to the launch events for all these devices thus traveling cross country and being on the road. They also did interviews with outside people, podcasts, etc.
I do not recall which launch event it was but on their podcast they mentioned, they were at an event type typing up a review abou some windows convertible literally on the convertible getting impressions on the ergonamics, keyboard, etc. This was prior to liveblogging the event and one of them had a backpack with like 3 devices doing battery tests, working on the road.

I appreciate the work that Anandtech puts in in general, but there's certainly consistency issues in reviews. Sometimes the reviews are VERY detailed (look at what Brian Klug did for the M7), but then there are reviews that never show up (ahem GS4 Part 2?).
Its clear with the 6 they're trying to straddle the line of being The Verge and offering a quick review out the door. Instead they offer some quick hands on, a preview article, an SoC breakdown... I honestly think they'd be better off just waiting a few weeks and releasing it all in one giant article like the iPhone 5 review.
