It depends on what weather YOU prefer. I hate cold & snow, but can tolerate it in small amounts.
San Diego has possibly the best weather in the world. Almost never TOO hot or TOO cold...and only rarely humid...usually damned pleasant.

BUT, there are other factors in what determines a good place to live besides the weather...and unfortunately, as much as I LIKE San Diego, the negatives outweigh the positives for me.

Considering how much people here cry when their shipping is messed up, I would go with Alaska as well, because not only do you have to deal with weather, but the fact you are separated from the contiguous 48 states.

My Wife fucking LOVES over 100 degrees...she doesn't feel comfortable until it's over 80, and hates wearing dresses or skirts below 85. She swears she's a lizard.

I didnt.

Ridgecrest was kinda nice once you got used to it, but it takes several months for that to happen.

Having been in the frozen tundra and scaling desert and back again, overall I think the heat is easier to deal with than the cold. You just need lots of water, and the good sense to wear thin clothing that covers your skin.

I personally enjoy where I am. I get to experience all 4 seasons. Living somewhere with always ~70 degree sunshine sounds nice, but that would get dull after a while.

I would say something like wisconsin or MA, cold as balls in the winter, hot and humid during the summer.

so even coldest city on Earth (Yakutsk) has 4 seasons and 250,000 population... I would say what is the worst climate for you is not the worst climate for ones living there... so why bother? You're not there, enjoy your 76F.
