where to buy NEW but older model phones like samsung s6 edge?

wife got her white samsung s6 edge stolen on the bus.
i got the phone 8 months ago from B&H for $400. it is no longer available new from amazon, walmart, b&h, not even best buy.
the s7 edge is nice but too big for her with 5.5 inches screen. looks like i have to buy used from swappa.com then if she wants the s6 edge white?

Yep. Have bought tons of phones from Swappa with no issues. Just check the pics, description, condition well before you buy.

Prices have dropped to $625 for S8 and to $725 for S8+, so if you trade in the S7 Edge, you only have to pay $275 for an S8 or $375 for an S8+.

That doesn't help the OP since the wife's phone was stolen. But yes, that deal was pretty sweet. However, the unlocked version are now OOS and who knows if that extra $100 discount will still apply when they're back in stock.

I just traded-in my Galaxy S3 on an S8. Guess keeping that phone around paid off LOL.

Where are you seeing 625 for an S8? I was considering a OP5 for $480, but I can get a S8 for 425 if I trade in a turd phone. Do I have to buy from samsung or can I go to best buy? And if I have to send my phone to them - what if they get it and decide not to give me $$, am I screwed then?

The promotion is over as the extra $100 off the unlocked one disappeared since they're out of stock. So it was the unlocked phone for $725 minus $100 promotion minus $200 trade-in credit.

yeah, would be nice if s6 edge was part of the deal.
she visited the stores and said the s7/s8 is too big. she ended up getting an opened but new s6 edge from swappa.com

Well, $525 is still a decent price for the S8. Is it worth it to spend another $45 and get an S8, or is the OP5 a better deal at $480?

IMHO the S8 is better because of the screen and camera. Both are very impressive.
