Where to get drive mounting screws

I recently bought an OEM floppy disk drive and need mounting screws for it. I have one machine screw that works left over from a hard drive I bought, but can't seem to match it at Home Depot or Radio Shack (it seems to have finer threading than I can get). Any advice as to what type of screws I need and where I can buy them? Thanks.

It sounds like they are metric thread and not U.S. With that information you should have no trouble at any computer repair shop.

Sometimes the easiest way is to stop by your local mom and pop computer building store and see if they will sell you some. Otherwise, you can try calling the manufacturer and see if they will send you a couple.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did further investigation and found that the drive, a Samsung, requires metric screws with "M3" threading. After scouring the net, I found that you can get 'em online at a few places (but didn't see 'em on CompUSA's web site). Usually shipping drove the price up to around 8 to ten dollars. I ultimately decided to order an entire PC screw kit (StarTech brand) from Gateway (they've got a free shipping deal on now) for about $17 bucks. Should keep me in stock on every screw, standoff I might need for many years to come.

Probably woulda been cheaper to buy another floppy drive, since you can normally find them for $5 to 10. Maybe $15 if you buy a sony drive or something.

Cyberguys also has some assortment packs, various screws, jumpers, standoffs, other stuff. They are useful for all the bits and pieces like that.

Just go to your local small computer shops and ask if they have any for sale... most likely they'll just give them to you for free. I know i do it all the time when people come into my shop.
